Next, we'll determine your preferred session locations—whether at your home, office, or a nearby park. For example, Whitnall Park South offers a running trail and an outdoor exercise area with machines and pull-up and dip bars, making it an excellent workout spot. I occasionally train clients who live in the Burbank area here. Brace Canyon Park to the north is another great option. Lastly, we'll schedule your first session with a time and date that works for you. You don't need your own equipment, but if you have some, that's great. We provide kettlebells, adjustable dumbbells, resistance bands, a Bosu stability ball, and battle ropes—everything you need for a comprehensive workout.

We all know the benefits of resistance training, the value cannot be denied, but something not to over look is simple zone 2 cardio. Zone 2 is the pace at which you can still barely carry a conversation without getting out of breath. For those of you with HR trackers that’s approximately 65% of your max heartrate. Zone 2 is excellent for increasing V02 Max (your bodies ability to use oxygen, which is a marker of heart health). You also improve blood flow to body tissues including the brain, burn calories especially from fat and reduce stress. Best of all you don’t need a gym or a trainer for this just a place to walk or a bike to ride. I live close to the Burbank bike path along Chandler Ave. it was built upon a discontinued train track. There is a lane going in both directions for bikes as well as a lane for walking. It’s pretty easy to take side excursions from the path to run errands or just add mileage. For those who prefer to hike there is La Tuna Canyon or Brand Canyon Trai in the Verdugo Hills. Remember to bring a hat, glasses and sunscreen as these trails have a lot of exposure.
